I Don't Have Time To Play - Is That True?

Posted by Nathalie Le Riche on

“I don’t have time to play.”
I used to say that too.
Caught in the grind, chasing dreams with a clenched jaw and a weary heart.
Trying to earn my worth through effort, through service, through sacrifice.
Until my body said enough.
Until the breakdowns came.
Until I cracked open and asked… what if I did the opposite?

What if I played?
Not for productivity. Not for performance.
Just for joy. Just for me.

And that’s when the magic began.
Peace returned. Joy bloomed.
Uncanny doorways opened—ones I couldn’t see when I was running too fast.
Solutions arrived with ease.
My dreams didn’t disappear… they got closer.

Art became my reminder.
A visual whisper in my home:
You are worthy to rest. You are allowed to create. You deserve to connect.
Every brushstroke, every texture said:
Put yourself first. You matter.

And when I invested in creativity, something shifted.
The blinds lifted.
The blocks dissolved.
I saw paths I couldn’t see before—because I was too busy proving, too busy pushing.

So if you feel stuck, frustrated, joyless…
If you’re grinding toward your dream but losing yourself in the process…
Let me say this clearly:
Play is not a luxury. It’s a lifeline.

You are already whole.
Already enough.
Already deserving of love, rest, and delight.

Slow down.
Create.
Connect.
Let joy be your compass.
Let play be your medicine.
Let love be your way.

And if your heart is ready to say yes to that—
A Le Riche Original artwork can serve as your daily reminder.
A Le Riche Art class can be your reset, your reconnection, your doorway.

The choice is yours:
Grind yourself to exhaustion chasing your dream…
Or open the doorways to your dream through joy, creativity, and connection.
