Letting Go or Staying the Course?
Posted by Nathalie Le Riche on

At times, the path of creativity and dreams can feel uncertain. We wonder: am I quitting too soon, or am I wisely adjusting to what life is showing me? The truth is, there’s no single answer—only the invitation to pause, reflect, and listen deeply.
Here are some guiding questions to help you discern:
• Am I stopping because I’m afraid, or because I’ve noticed clear signs this path no longer serves me?
• Does continuing feel like passion and flow, or does it feel like forcing and draining?
• Have I truly experimented with new approaches, or am I repeating the same actions expecting different results?
• If I let go of this exact form, could my dream still live on in a different way?
• Am I holding onto this path because of security or fear of the unknown, rather than genuine joy?
• What beliefs am I following that may not actually belong to me?
• How does my body feel when I imagine continuing versus when I imagine adjusting—tight and heavy, or spacious and light?
• Could curiosity lead me to discover a fresh way of expressing this dream that I haven’t yet considered?
• If I were advising a dear friend in the same situation, what would I tell them?
• Does this decision bring me closer to inner peace, or keep me stuck in frustration?
Quitting often feels like abandoning yourself. Adjusting feels like honouring yourself. The difference lies in whether you’re moving away from fear or moving toward love, curiosity, and alignment. Letting go is not failure—it’s courage. It’s choosing to trust the unknown, where creativity and peace can finally breathe. You know what to do. You just have to make a choice to be adaptive if you are not seeing results from the input you are putting in.
